Practical project guidance

For contractors, developers and design teams:
guidance on planning, site coordination and maintenance.

01 · Planning early

When should artwork
planning begin?

Reviewing artwork locations while setting the main architectural and landscape direction makes it easier to coordinate placement, circulation, foundations and electrical requirements.

Considering artwork after surrounding finishes are complete can restrict dimensions or delivery access. Share current plans and the construction schedule so that we can identify priorities and coordination items.

Initial checks: proposed location · visitor circulation · landscape · delivery route · foundations and electricity
02 · Initial consultation

What information
should you prepare?

A formal proposal is not required to begin. Tell us the site, building use, current project stage and intended direction.

  • Project name, location and building use
  • Site or landscape plan, or photos of proposed locations
  • Current project stage and desired installation date
  • Budget range, if established
  • Desired atmosphere and reference artworks

Please identify your contact person within the client, architectural, landscape or construction team so that we can clarify the items requiring coordination.

03 · After installation

Review maintenance requirements
before installation.

We consider cleaning, inspection, lighting operation and changes in the surroundings from the planning stage.

For artworks with media or lighting, review operating hours, power and controller locations, and maintenance access. For works that visitors can approach closely, coordinate checks of edges, surfaces and surrounding pedestrian conditions with the site team.

Maintenance arrangements depend on the materials, installation environment and operating conditions of the artwork.
